2013 (24th-25th): A historic blizzard paralyzed much of the Texas Panhandle and portions of the South Plains beginning
late in the night of the 24th and lasting through much of the day on the 25th. Despite accurate forecasts a day in
advance, many area residents were unprepared for this storms fury; partially due to unseasonably mild temperatures in the
60s and 70s during the afternoon on the 24th. But by late that evening
