Flooding Concerns in Puerto Rico; Thunderstorms Across the Southeast U.S.

Showers and thunderstorms capable of producing widespread heavy rainfall will be possible across much of Puerto Rico today. Heavy rainfall will likely lead to flash, urban and small stream flooding. Storm Data is an official publication of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which documents the occurrence of storms and other significant weather phenomena having sufficient intensity to cause loss of life, injuries, significant property damage, and/or disruption to commerce. Storm Data only includes significant weather phenomena that are reported to the National Weather Service in Midland, or are noted in newspapers in the affected area. Typically, the Storm Data report takes about 3 months of research and preparation before it is available. The files are in PDF (Acrobat Reader) format.

Certified copies of Storm Data can only be provided through the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). Online data provided by the NWS Midland is considered for information purposes only and uncertified. For reports outside the NWS Midland County Warning area, you can search the NCDC Storm Events Database (uncertified) for individual storm events.
