Thunderstorms, with high winds and heavy rain, struck the Oklahoma
City and Tulsa areas for the second time in 4 days on this date in 1973. Flash flooding was the main concern with these storms, as over 3 inches of rain fell at Wiley Post Airport, in northwest Oklahoma City. Strong winds did capsize 6 boats on nearby Lake Hefner. |
