Warming Trend Into the Weekend

Breezy southwest winds and dry unseasonably warm conditions and drying vegetation will increase the fire danger risk on Sunday afternoon across parts of our area. Some uncertainty with the strength of wind gusts due to potential cloud cover and minimum relative humidity at the ground.

Warmer trend continues with afternoon temperatures about 10 degrees above average for early October. High cloudiness will be increasing through the afternoon with southwest winds around 10 mph.

Rain chances will increase slightly early next week, as a cold front moves into northern Oklahoma on Monday.

High temperatures will be rising into the upcoming weekend with very warm, above-normal temperatures expected.

Latest CPC 8-14 day outlook is likely warmer than average temperatures with rainfall amounts leaning below average through mid-October.
