The Week Ahead

Warm Weather Continues

Scattered thunderstorms are expected on Sunday afternoon in western Oklahoma. The strongest storms could have wind gusts up to 65 mph and hail to the size of quarters.

Thunderstorms are expected to move in from the Texas/Oklahoma panhandle late tonight. Any storms that do make it are expected to weaken as they move into western Oklahoma. Severe weather is not expected.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday. A few strong storms appear possible.

The forecast for the first week of fall shows that summer-like conditions are likely to continue, with at least a reasonable chance for us to see measurable rain.

A line of thunderstorms moved across south-central Oklahoma during
the early morning hours of September 14, 1966, demolishing a large
barn just south of Chickasha. The storms also produced strong winds
that broke out many windows in the Duncan area.
