An afternoon thunderstorm on this date in 1979, produced high winds
that caused damage to shingles, trees, and windows, in the Canyon North and Martin Nature Park areas of northwest Oklahoma City. A small tornado formed on the leading edge of the storm and damaged 8 houses. A resident of one of the homes observed a white funnel and debris cloud as the damage was occurring. |
