Widespread severe thunderstorms moved over the eastern half of
Oklahoma on this date in 2011. Storms first developed over
north-central Oklahoma during the afternoon, but became more
widespread over central and southeast Oklahoma during the evening.
Very large hail, up to 4 inches in diameter, fell over Union City,
while many other storms produced hail up to baseball size.
