A few severe thunderstorms, posing a risk for damaging winds, are possible across northwestern Oklahoma late Thursday evening into Friday morning.

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible across western into northern Oklahoma on Friday evening into night. Damaging wind gusts will be the main severe weather hazard.

Heat indices will be highest this week on Thursday afternoon with widespread triple digit values up to 105 degrees in some areas. Cooler conditions are currently expected by this weekend.
