Severe Thunderstorm and Excessive Rainfall Threats in the Central U.S. Today

A Moderate Risk (Level 4 of 5) has been issued for the likelihood of numerous severe thunderstorms today from parts of the mid Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee Valleys into the southern Plains. Strong tornadoes, very large hail, and damaging winds are possible. A Moderate Risk Excessive Rainfall Outlook (Level 3 of 4) includes portions of the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys where flooding is possible. Read More >

Chuuk State is comprised of the collection of volcanic islands within the Chuuk Lagoon and some 24 outer-island atolls --some 290 islands total. Chuuk is the most populous of the FSM states, with 53,595 people (est. 2000) and a land area of 49 square miles. It is a world-famous location for SCUBA divers, with a sunken WWII Japanese fleet to explore.
