Heavy Rain and Mountain Snow Lingers in California; Winter Storm Impacting the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S.

An atmospheric river will wind down through today across California with lingering heavy rainfall, heavy mountain snow, and gusty winds. A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will cause hazardous travel conditions for the Great Lakes into the northern Mid-Atlantic and southern New England today through Saturday morning. The Tampa Bay Marine Channels Forecast (MCF) has moved to its new home! Effective 1300 UTC August 1st 2017, the Tampa Bay Marine Channels Forecast product was implemented at the National Ocean Service (NOS) Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS).  Service change notice 17-76 was issued on Thursday, June 15, 2017 and can be found here.
