Winds will increase later this evening behind a cold frontal passage. A small craft advisory is in effect overnight into early Monday afternoon in waters west of Mexico Beach to the Okaloosa-Walton County line. In the remainder of the northeast Gulf waters, small craft should exercise caution as north to northeast winds will increase to 15-20 knots.
A HIGH RISK of rip currents for Walton, Bay, and Franklin County beaches. A prolonged period of high rip current risk will continue much of the week, though a break in the high rip current risk may occur Tuesday. Swim near a lifeguard and respect the posted beach flags.
Elevated fire weather concerns Tuesday, especially in areas that have received little to no rainfall over the past several days coupled with the ongoing extreme to exceptional drought. This area will run from the western FL Big Bend / Apalachicola National Forest northeast to the I-75 corridor of southwest GA. Any outdoor burning is highly discouraged.
