Scattered to broken clouds will move across northern and central New Mexico this evening. An upper level disturbance will move across southern New Mexico this evening with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected across the south central highlands and mountains and the southeast and east central plains. Clouds will clear out after midnight across western and central New Mexico.
Another day of strong winds, warm temperatures and a very dry atmosphere Sunday. This will lead to critical fire weather conditions in the Middle Rio Grande Valley and eastern NM.
A dry slot moving over New Mexico combined with strong mixing will result in very dry conditions across the Land of Enchanment Sunday. Several hours of single digit humidity values are expected.
