Cold Weather Continues
A cold front will pass over the area today and northerly winds are expected behind the front. Breezy to gusty winds are forecast with gusts upwards of 40-50 mph across the region. The strongest winds are forecast to be from 10 AM this morning through 3-4 PM this afternoon. These winds can cause hazardous driving conditions as well as loose objects to be blown around.

A cold front will quickly push south across the Panhandles this morning and much colder air will follow behind the front. Highs for today will be achieved in the morning to early afternoon today. With the temperatures cooling and the gusty north winds, wind chill values in the 20s to 30s are forecast throughout the day. Temperatures tonight will quickly drop down into the teens to 20s.

The cold air mass behind the front today will remain over the region for a few days. This will keep temperatures in the 30s to 40s with overnight lows dropping into the teens to 20s. Wind chill values will also be quite cold in the single digits to teens on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Dress appropriately for the cold weather if you need to go outside, especially during the mornings ahead!
