An atmospheric river will continue to bring gusty winds, moderate to heavy rainfall, and potential flooding to southern California and the southern Great Basin through Sunday. Hot temperatures are expected on Friday across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. Afternoon highs are currently forecasted in the upper 70s to mid-80s, but temperatures could potentially exceed these expectations. These warmer conditions might break the current record highs for November 14th, which are set in the low 80s.

Unfortunately, an updated look at the expected weekend system shows it taking a more northerly track. This will likely result in drier weather for us in the Panhandles, with the chance of precipitation now under 10%. However, there are still hints of a new system moving through by the middle of next week, which could bring more chances for precipitation.

High temperatures this weekend will remain warm, but cooler conditions are on the way! More Fall-like weather is forecast for next week with highs in the 60s by mid week. Cloud cover will even increase during this time and there are low chances for precipitation late next week, but confidence is low at this time.
