Strong Winds Continue This Morning
Cold Today With Heat Returning This Weekend
Critical fire weather conditions are expected again across much of the panhandles for this afternoon. Winds will be the primary concern as the Panhandles can see northerly gusts up to 50 to 55 mph. However, the cooler temperatures today may work in our favor by reducing chances for ignitions.

Strong northerly winds are likely to continue through the early and later morning hours of today with gusts upwards of 55 to 60 mph possible. However, these winds should begin to weaken as we move into the afternoon with much quieter conditions looking to follow past sunset.

Much cooler temperatures are expected this afternoon with most locations only looking to see highs in the 50s. However, the Panhandles are not done with heat just yet. By Sunday, look for temperatures to once again be in the 80s to low 90s with Monday following a similar pattern.
