An atmospheric river will continue to bring gusty winds, moderate to heavy rainfall, and potential flooding to southern California and the southern Great Basin through Sunday. Cooler But Breezier
An updated look continues to see a new upper-level system make its way off the West Coast and towards the Panhandles sometime later this week. Currently a 40 to 60% chance of showers is present across the Panhandles, albeit with rainfall totals trending on the lighter side. However, a lot of uncertainty is still present that can change the outlook of this system. Make sure to keep checking back with us as we continue to monitor this incoming system.

With a cold front south of the area, temperatures will cool down a bit for this afternoon, with forecast highs in the 70s area wide. Moving into Monday will see these cooler temperatures stick around as another cold front follows that afternoon. Unfortunately this frontal passage will also see some breezy conditions around the Panhandles, which could lead to some spotty elevated fire weather across the south.
