Isaias made landfall around 9:30 AM near Destin, FL. Since then, it has become a post-tropical cyclone with maximum winds of 65 mph. Conditions will continue to deteriorate overnight. Potential Impacts for North and Central Georgia include a long duration of strong wind gusts (35-45+ mph) with occasional gusts up to 60 MPH, heavy rainfall and localized flash/river flooding, and several tornadoes.

Hurricane Isaias will bring rounds of heavy rainfall to area tonight through early Sunday. The locations most at risk for flash flooding are poor drainage and urban areas, as well as creeks and streams prone to rapid rises. Do not attempt to drive through water-covered roadways. Turn around and seek alternate routes. Exercise caution if you have outdoor plans, especially near rivers, creeks, or streams.

A long duration strong and gusty wind threat will spread across North and Central GA from tonight through Sunday AM. Sustained easterly winds of 15-25 mph with frequent gusts 35-45 mph. Isolated gusts up to 60 mph are possible over parts of North GA. Gusty winds and wet soils may lead to uprooted trees. Downed limbs or trees may cause numerous power outages.

Rainbands associated with Hurricane Isaias will overspread the area late tonight through late Saturday night. Damaging wind gusts and several tornadoes will be possible within these bands.
