Spring 2026 Frost/Freeze Program Expands North May 21st

...Frost/Freeze Program Update for Spring 2026...

The frost/freeze program will expand northward on Thursday, May 
21st to include most of northern and eastern Maine. The 
exceptions are northern Somerset, northern Piscataquis, and 
northwestern Aroostook counties, which will become active on June
1st.

A frost advisory will be issued if the temperatures are expected 
to drop to 32 to 36 degrees, and a freeze warning will be issued 
if temperatures are expected to drop below freezing. If you have
