Last Map Update: Fri, Aug 22, 2025 at 2:27:00 pm EDT

A Flood Watch is in effect through early Sunday morning for portions of eastern and central Georgia. Thunderstorms are possible each day. Some of these storms may remain stationary and dump very heavy rainfall amounts over some locations in excess of 4". These amounts in a short time will lead to flash flooding of smaller creeks, streams, and rivers, as well as potential flooding in more urban locations. Please remember, if you see water moving over a roadway, turn around don't drown! Familiar roads may have washed away making water much deeper than it appears.
A large trough of low pressure will develop over the Great Lakes this weekend. This feature will funnel cooler air into the Eastern U.S., leading to widespread below average temperatures early next week. In Georgia this should limit our high temperatures to the mid and lower 80s early next week. Lower humidity can also be anticipated early early in the week.
High temperatures and rain chances for today across north and central Georgia.
Low temperatures and rain chances for tonight across north and central Georgia.
Temperature and precipitation chances for tomorrow across north and central Georgia.
