Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue through Friday. Much higher rain chances will return by the end of the upcoming weekend. A few severe storms will be possible across far north Georgia on Friday, with the threat spreading across the area by the end of the weekend.

Isolated to scattered showers and storms are expected Friday afternoon and evening across far North GA. A few storms may become strong to severe with damaging wind gusts.

Rising temperatures and heat indices are in the forecast through the start of the weekend. Heat indices in the upper 90s to low 100s are forecast Thursday-Saturday! Keep an eye on the forecast especially if you're planning on spending an extended amount of time outdoors!
