Widespread thunderstorms are expected this evening and persisting overnight into Thursday morning. These storms will bring the risk for damaging wind gusts as well as a few tornadoes. A strong tornado cannot be ruled out.

A Flood Watch is in effect through 8 AM Thursday for much of north and central Georgia. Thunderstorms could bring heavy rainfall amounts that lead to flash flooding.
