Smoke from wildfires in southern Georgia and northern Florida has been carried northward, making for a hazy sky across parts of north and central Georgia. These conditions will likely persist on Friday as well.
After a long stretch of dry weather, daily chances for showers and storms will return Saturday through the middle of next week. Decent rainfall for some may lead to slight improvements to drought conditions.
