Last Map Update: Sat, Nov 29, 2025 at 4:52:22 pm EST

The combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity, and/or gusty east/southeast winds will lead to hazardous fire weather conditions across much of north and central Georgia this afternoon into the evening. Any fires that develop could spread rapidly.
For most of north and central Georgia, we expect 1 to 2 inches of rainfall from Sunday morning through Tuesday evening. This will be much needed as drought conditions persist across most of the state.
A much-welcomed wet period is in the cards Sunday through Tuesday, possibly resuming on Thursday. Total rainfall will be a modest 1 to 2 inches for most; however, continued rainfall like this will be very beneficial for the drought conditions. Temperatures will remain cool/chilly and fall-like.
Here are the forecast low temperatures and precipitation chances for tonight.
