Fire danger conditions today across north and central Georgia due to low humidity and dry vegetation. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.

The drought continues in Georgia, with it now reaching the worst we've seen so far since it began in Fall 2025. With 90% of Georgia now in D2-D4 conditions, this is the largest drought footprint in the state in almost twenty years.

With our very dry streak continuing through this work week, is there any hope for some rain in the near future? At this time, it does look like a more favorable pattern change will increase opportunities for rainfall from next weekend into the end of the month.
