Strong to isolated severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. The highest risk for an severe thunderstorm will be across eastern Georgia, though an isolated severe storm is also possible elsewhere.
Summer heat and humidity will return in full force this week with afternoon heat index values over 100 degrees.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will again occur on Thursday afternoon and evening. There will be a risk for strong to severe thunderstorms with a Slight Risk (2 of 5) across eastern Georgia, though isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible elsewhere as well. The main risk is damaging downburst wind gusts.
