Multiple waves of showers and thunderstorms are expected through midweek before the pattern returns to one more typical of summer. A couple of strong to severe storms will be possible today, with the primary threats being gusty to damaging winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall. Rounds of heavy rainfall through Wednesday will lead to potential for localized flash flooding.
