Radar loop of North and Central Georgia.

A tropical disturbance has a 60% of forming into a tropical system in the next few days off the coast of Texas. While it is too early to determine wind or severe impacts from the system, heavy rainfall due to tropical moisture is expected across north and central Georgia by the end of the week.

A slight to moderate risk of excessive rainfall is in the forecast for Thursday. Remnants of PTC #1 will move into the region bringing deep tropical moisture which when combined with widespread thunderstorms forecast, will create the potential for flash flooding.
