Daytime thunderstorms are forecast each day of the coming week, with the most widespread coverage across north Georgia on Monday and Tuesday. Rain could become heavy at times in north Georgia on Monday and Tuesday, which could lead to flash flooding concerns. With temperatures rising into the upper 80s to mid 90s and humid conditions at the end of the week, heat index values are forecast to range from 100-104 degrees in central Georgia Friday through Sunday.

There is an increased risk of flash flooding across North Georgia on Monday due to widespread and slow/training moving showers and thunderstorms. High rainfall rates 2-3+ inches per hour may also contribute to flooding.
