Dry vegetation and low relative humidity will increase fire danger conditions on Wednesday across north and parts of central Georgia, where a Fire Danger Statement is in effect. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged, as fires could get out of control.

Long-range forecast models are suggesting a large-scale weather pattern supportive of rainfall across parts of the eastern U.S. (including Georgia) near the end of the month. That said, not all of the state will necessarily see rainfall, and it will take an extended period of ample rainfall to put a dent in the drought.
