-Oct. 31, 1991…Very cold Halloween across the South Plains. Lubbock recorded a high of only 30 degrees, with 0.4” of snow and ice.
-Oct. 31, 2002, 1972 and 1923…Additional cold Halloweens with highs only in the mid 30s in the Lubbock area.
-Oct. 31, 1998…Occasional rain and thunderstorms occurred putting a damper on Halloween activities. Lubbock International Airport set a record for the wettest Halloween on record with 0.99 inches of rain.
