After a cool overnight period in the 50s, we'll see pleasantly warm temperatures in the 80s to near 90 on Sunday.
Continued warm weather is expected over the next few days. There will be a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms along the Texas and New Mexico State line the next few evenings.

 

 

 

Local Weather History For September 27th...
1976: Scattered to numerous severe thunderstorms with large hail up to the size of golf balls inflicted heavy tolls on
many South Plains cotton farmers this evening. Counties that were hardest hit included Hockley, Cochran, Terry, and Lynn.
Estimated regional crop losses were near $10M.
