Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. The threat for scattered severe thunderstorms exists late this afternoon into this evening and again Saturday afternoon and night across mainly the northern half of the region. Damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornado or two, and locally heavy rainfall are the main threats.
Another warm night across the entire Four State Region. Lows tonight will range from low to mid 70s with highs from the upper 80s to mid 90s tomorrow.
Rain chances continue in portions of the Four State Region tonight with the highest chances mainly near and north of the I-20 Corridor. Rain will continue during the day tomorrow, mainly near I-30.
