A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Coffee, Jeff Davis, Atkinson, Appling, and Bacon Counties in southeast GA from 9 AM - 2 PM on Sunday. Snowfall accumulations of 0.5" - 1 inch will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. Although roads will mostly remain wet from rainfall this morning, a few slick spots will be possible on bridges and overpasses as temperatures fall to near freezing towards noon today. Clearing skies late this afternoon will allow for any snow that accumulates to melt, with roads expected to dry out before temperatures fall below freezing later on Sunday evening.

A Freeze Warning has been posted for tonight and early Monday morning throughout our area. Sub-freezing temperatures in the mid 20s are forecast inland, with lows in the lower 30s at coastal locations. A northwesterly breeze will likely create low wind chill values of 20-25 degrees area-wide, and Cold Weather Advisories have been posted for all of northeast and north central FL.

Wind chill values will fall to the 20-25 degree range throughout our area late tonight and early Monday morning. These values meet Cold Weather Advisory criteria for northeast and north central FL. Long exposure outdoors to these cold wind chill values could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken in advance. Wear hats, gloves, and winter jackets if you plan on spending time outside later tonight or on Monday morning.
