Last Map Update: Sun, Aug 17, 2025 at 3:16:53 am EDT

Surf is expected to increase next week due to east swells arriving from Distant Tropical system Erin. Even though this system is forecast to be well east of the area, deadly rip currents and surf will affect northeast FL and southeast GA beaches. Never underestimate the ocean.
🌀 Hurricane Erin 11pm Update 8/16/25 🌀 Though the forecast track has nudged slightly westward today, the system is still expected to turn towards the north and northeast early next week, remaining well east of the area. Keep in mind that slight shifts in the track are common given natural forecast uncertainty, but this does NOT mean the forecast will significantly change. Rough surf 🏄‍♂️ and high risk for rip currents is expected for most of next week at area beaches.
