Severe Thunderstorms in the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys; Flash Flooding Possible in the Southwest

Scattered damaging winds, isolated severe hail, and a brief tornado or two are possible from the Upper Ohio to Tennessee Valleys during the late afternoon and evening. On January 25th and 26th, 2021, a swath of snow fell from the central Plains to Lower Great Lakes. In our area, the highest snow totals were generally along and north of I-88, where roughly 6 to 8 inches of snow fell along a narrow zone from Lee County to Lake County (IL). Higher totals were noted across Wisconsin and Iowa with this system.
