At Chicago, the average high temperature was 54.9 degrees, which is 7.9 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 32.8 degrees, which is 1.8 degrees above normal. The mean average temperature for the month was 43.9 degrees, which is 4.9 degrees above normal. 4.54 inches of liquid precipitation were recorded, which is 2.09 inches above normal. 1.8 inches of snow were recorded, which is 3.7 inches below normal.
