Tonight will be quiet and calm with just a few clouds. Lows will be seasonably cool for this time of year.
The first few days of October will bring a continuation of very warm weather with temperatures remaining several degrees above normal. We'll also continue to see plenty of fall sunshine with rain chances near zero through at least early next week.

 

 

 

Local Weather History For September 30th...
2004: Scattered to numerous thunderstorms exited eastern New Mexico late this day and generated several cases of flooding
across the southern South Plains and southern Rolling Plains. Several roads from Brownfield east to Jayton and Guthrie had
to be closed due to impassable volumes of water. Ten miles west of Tahoka, flash flooding washed a car off the road on
Highway 380. In Post, several vehicles became stranded in several feet of water.
