Moderating Temperatures for the Eastern Two-Thirds of the Country; Approaching Storm for the West

Unseasonably warm temperatures for the Plains and Midwest will spread eastward through Sunday as a weak clipper system will bring some rain and snow showers from the Great Lakes to the Northeast. A storm approaching the west coast is expected to bring strong winds, lower elevation rain and heavy mountain snow. Unsettled weather conditions linger for the western islands of Hawaii into Sunday.
