Heavy Freezing Spray Watch/Warning
Criteria:

Accumulations of freezing water droplets on a vessel of 0.8 inch per hour or greater owing to some combination of cold water, wind, cold air temperature, and vessel movement. |
Freezing Spray Advisory
Criteria:

Accumulations of freezing water droplets on a vessel between 0.3 and 0.8 inch per hour owing to some combination of cold water, wind, cold air temperature, and vessel movement. |
High Surf Advisory
Criteria:
|
Wave breakers 8 ft or higher in the surf zone. Note that the area advised is right along the Atlantic coast of NJ/DE. |
High Rip Current Risk
Criteria:

Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone. Note that the area advised is right along the Atlantic coast of NJ/DE. |
Dense Fog Advisory
Criteria:

Visibility reduced to one nautical mile or less |
Low Water Advisory
Criteria:
|
Forecast water levels significantly below average over coastal marine zones. Specific criterion is mean lower low water (MLLW) at or below -2 feet at associated tidal gauge sites. |
Low Water Statement
Criteria:

For the tidal Delaware River, a Special Weather Statement is issued in lieu of a Low Water Advisory for adjacent land zones. The threshold for issuance is at or below -2 ft MLLW (mean lower low water) for associated tidal gauge sites. |
Coastal Flood Watch/Warning
Criteria:
|
Widespread flooding of roadways with many becoming impassable.
Damage to vulnerable structures possible. If major flooding is expected, enhanced wording may be used in the coastal flood warning indicating the potential for significant structural damage and the potential need for evacuations. |
Coastal Flood Advisory
Criteria:

Flooding of the most vulnerable roadways. The majority of roads remain passable. |
Coastal Flood Statement
Criteria:

Localized tidal flooding possible near Upper Barnegat Bay in Ocean County, NJ or near Little Assawoman Bay in Sussex County, DE. |
