Wintry weather will continue today with snow focusing over northeastern New Mexico through the morning and afternoon where a couple to several inches of fresh accumulation are forecast. Monitor Weather.Gov/ABQ for updates to Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories.
Wind will cause the greatest problems across northeast New Mexico, where it will pickup and blow the snow, producing "white-out" conditions at times.
Bitterly cold temperatures will become widespread tonight with harsh wind chills overnight through Saturday morning.
Another cold night will be in store Saturday night into Sunday morning. While winds will be fairly light, the slightest breeze will make it feel even colder with wind chill values dropping to near 0 degrees F.
