A Flash Flood Watch is in effect today for the southern and eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains Sunday, including the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scar. Showers and thunderstorms will move very slowly, producing heavy downpours.

Temperatures will run near to slightly above normal on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will stretch from the Gila northeastward to the Sangre de Cristo mountains.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected across portions of the state on Sunday. Locally heavy rainfall over saturated and/or sensitive areas may lead to flash flooding. Make sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings.

Isolated to scattered showers & storms will develop each afternoon/evening with storms tending to favor the southwestern mountains northeastward to the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Tuesday & Wednesday will be the least active days. Temperatures trend hotter & above normal Tuesday onward.
