A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Central Highlands from 6 AM to 2 PM Saturday. Gusty northwest winds in these areas will create hazardous crosswinds for high-profile vehicles and blow around any unsecured objects.
Hazardous northwest wind gusts will impact the area from the southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains, east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and the central highlands today. The strongest winds will occur around midday.
Dry weather is forecast to continue through the end of the second week of December since the storm track will remain north of New Mexico. There is also a high chance (70-90%) that temperatures will remain above seasonal averages during this period.
