A slow moving front extending from the Great Lakes region into the Plains will bring snow, wintry mix, and ice accumulation north of the front from the Upper Midwest into New England, and severe weather and heavy rain south of the front. Overview

October 2007 will go down as the warmest October on record at both Williamsport and Harrisburg. The average temperature at Williamsport for the month was 59.4 degrees, which was 8.1°F above normal, and was 0.6°F above the previous record of 58.8 degrees set back in 1971. The average temperature at Harrisburg for the month was 62.0 degrees, which was 7.5°F above normal, and was 0.5°F above the previous record of 61.5 degrees set back in 1984.
