Active Spring Like Pattern Across the Eastern Half of the Country

The second storm will track across central and eastern portion of the country this weekend. Heavy wintry precipitation will affect the northern Plains to the upper peninsula of Michigan. Severe thunderstorms are expected along and ahead of the cold front, where very large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible from the mid-Mississippi and Ohio Valleys to southern Plains. How to submit a storm report to the National Weather Service Key West

If you would like to submit a storm report, use one of the following methods:

What You Can Report

You can report any weather event that occurs in your local area, but we are most interested in significant events: waterspouts, severe weather, flooding, etc.  In particular:

  • Damage from winds--briefly describe what was damaged and time it occurred.
  • Hail--include size of hail and time it fell.
  • Tornadoes, waterspouts, or funnel clouds.
  • Flooding--briefly describe what is occurring.
  • Dense fog restricting visibility to less than a half mile.

Be as specific as possible when describing the weather report and include pictures, if available.
