Another quiet night is expected with mostly clear skies and light winds.
After another warm Friday, breezy winds arrive on Saturday ahead of cooler weather for Sunday. The wind and heat then ramp up for Monday. An elevated wildfire danger is possible both Saturday and Monday.

 

 

 

Local Weather History For October 16th...
2007: A cluster of severe thunderstorms, including a supercell, erupted over the far southern Texas Panhandle late this
evening. The supercell storm dropped quarter size hail in Happy before exiting north of the Lubbock NWS forecast area.
While 13 miles south of Canyon, this supercell produced a destructive EF1 tornado.
