Windy conditions will develop by this afternoon and continue into the evening. Southerly winds may gust up to 45 mph in the Delta region and up to 35 mph over central and eastern Mississippi.
A squall line containing damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes will move east across the area tonight.
Another round of severe weather is possible over the weekend, which will also include potential for heavy rain. Please continue to monitor later forecasts for further information.
It will be warm and windy today with increasing clouds from the west this afternoon. Severe storms will be possible late this afternoon in the west.
Severe storms will be possible tonight along and just ahead of a cold front moving across the area. Cooler and drier conditions are expected behind the cold front.
