High moisture will move into the area by late weekend & especially into early next week from remnants of a tropical system over the northern Gulf of Mexico that will slowly move northeast. Multiple rounds of heavy rain are possible, especially by early next week, which will bring the potential for flash flooding. This event remains several days away, so amounts & threats may change! Stay tuned for further updates.
A cold front will move into the moist airmass by this afternoon and produce scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms.
