A squall line will move t hrough the ArkLaMiss region this evening and will exit the forecast area by 1 am. The primary risks will be large hail, damaging winds , and some tornadoes.
Windy conditions will develop by this afternoon and continue into the evening. Southerly winds will gust up to 45 mph in the delta region and up to 35 mph in central and east Mississippi.
Another round of severe weather is possible over the weekend, which will also include potential for heavy rain. Please continue to monitor later forecasts for further information.
It will be warm and windy today with increasing clouds from the west this afternoon. Severe storms will be possible late this afternoon in the west.
Severe storms will be possible tonight along and just ahead of a cold front moving across the area. Cooler and drier conditions are expected behind the cold front.
