Hurricane Isaias Approaching the Gulf Coast; Remnants of Rachel to Impact the Southwest U.S.

Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall along the U.S. northern Gulf Coast late Friday or early Saturday. A life-threatening storm surge is expected along the coast with damaging wind gusts extending well inland. Overview

Between January 24–26, 2026, a winter storm brought upwards of 1–2 feet of snow across central Pennsylvania, with periods of mixed precipitation also reported across southern and central parts of the state. Harrisburg International Airport (KMDT) and Williamsport Regional Airport (KIPT) broke daily snowfall records dating back to 1888 and 1895 respectively. The January 31st–February 3rd, 2021 winter storm was the previous system to bring widespread 8–12"+ snowfall totals across this part of Pennsylvania.
