Local Weather History For July 15th...
1962: Destructive thunderstorm winds broke a large H-type pole tower owned by the TX Electric Company one mile south of
White Flat early this afternoon. This tower fell on a rural electrification power line causing a blackout to much of the
area. One mile farther south, similar winds broke six poles and snapped a half-mile of power lines. Barn roofs were also
blown off in the vicinity.
